How-and-why-should-Santa Teresa-and-Costa Rica-be-the-place-to-go

As the world begins to look beyond confinement and adapting to the new normal, travel becomes to look more viable and very enticing.  Once closed borders are re-opening to eager travelers looking for wide-open spaces, new adventures, adrenaline rushes, spiritual retreats, or just a fantastic trip. Whatever the motivation, flights are reappearing on airline and travel-web sites and the call to spread your wings and embrace new destinations is getting louder and clearer.  How and why should Santa Teresa and Costa Rica be the place to go?

  1. Costa Rica welcomes travelers back!

At the beginning of August, Costa Rica made the decision to re-open its airports to several international destinations and this was greeted by the country and the tourism industry with open arms.

Both Iberia from Madrid, Spain, and Lufthansa from Frankfurt, Germany were the lucky two airlines to fly happy travelers across the Atlantic Ocean and continue to do so.   They will continue to offer weekly flights through the summer.

As can be expected, a number of strict rules must be adhered to including the use of masks on board, showing proof of a negative PCR-RT coronavirus test, purchasing specific travel insurance, and having completed an epidemiological questionnaire.    When purchasing a ticket to come over, check with the airline as these protocols may change.

With great anticipation, it was announced just last week that from the 1st of September, Costa Rica will begin to receive passengers from the USA.  This means that if you are a resident of New York, New Jersey, Vermont, New Hampshire, or Connecticut, you can now book your tickets and come to paradise.

Just a few palm trees separate you from Pranamar and Santa Teresa Beach

Here are some more airlines that are warming their motors and stretching their wings as they prepare for take-off:

  • Air Canada will begin flights mid-September from Toronto, which is great news, eh?
  • British Airways will begin flights mid-September from London Gatwick Airport which has us a tad bit delighted!
  • Air France will resume flights from 14th October on Wednesdays which is Magnifique!
  • Edelweiss will resume flights on October 15 between Zurich and San Jose too so welcome to the Switzerland of Central America!

So, if you are from Europe or North-Eastern USA, you are free to fly to beautiful Santa Teresa and of course, the amazing Pranamar Oceanfront Villas and Yoga Retreat which is open for business.

  1. Costa Rica has been given a clean bill of health and safety!

Costa Rica has been recognized by the World Travel & Tourism Council as “a safe destination following review of 16 health and hygiene protocols, which were jointly developed by the public and private sector.

As stated by the recently appointed Minister of Tourism, Gustavo Seguro  “We are committed to our tourists and eager that they can travel safely. This recognition, in addition, reinforces the international image of Costa Rica as a tourist destination, which fortunately is robust.”

What this means is that this new freedom to travel is not weighed down by the worries of the safety of Costa Rica when it comes to your visit.  This also means, you can concern yourself with deciding on a surf lesson or a yoga class to start the day and whether you have breakfast on the beach or by the pool at Pranamar.
